At Attahir Labs, we are committed to protecting the privacy of the merchants who use our Shopify applications. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you install or use our apps in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Information We Collect

When you install one of our apps, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account via the Shopify API. Specifically, we may collect:

Shop Domain: Your .myshopify.com URL to identify your store and manage your subscription.
Product and Inventory Data: Information about your products and inventory, including titles, prices, variants, stock levels, unit costs where available, and related product attributes needed to provide analysis (e.g., TariffShield, StockClearance).
Order Records for Inventory Analytics: For StockClearance, we may access Shopify order records when the merchant grants the app order access. We use order dates, order IDs, line items, product IDs, quantities, cancellation status, and line-item revenue only to calculate product-level inventory signals such as last sale timing, units sold, sales velocity, seasonal history, and clearance-action results.
Accessibility and Theme Data: For AccessShield, we may access store pages, product titles, product vendors, product image URLs, existing image alt text, page HTML content, and theme file content needed to detect WCAG-oriented accessibility issues, missing alt text, and cookie/consent script patterns. We may store accessibility issue records, WCAG rule identifiers, severity levels, page URLs, HTML snippets, fix suggestions, generated alt-text suggestions, applied/ignored/fixed statuses, compliance score snapshots, badge status, and certificate/progress-report data.
Image-Aware Alt-Text Generation Data: For AccessShield, when AI-assisted alt-text suggestions are enabled, we may send product image URLs and limited product metadata such as product title, vendor, product type, tags, image position, and existing alt text to an AI service provider solely to generate reviewable alt-text suggestions.
Usage Analytics: Information about how you interact with our app interface to improve our service performance and user experience.
Billing Status: Information provided by Shopify regarding your subscription plan and payment status.

StockClearance does not need customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, billing addresses, or payment details for these inventory analytics. We do not use order data for customer profiling, advertising, resale, or third-party data sharing.

AccessShield does not request access to Shopify orders, customers, customer addresses, payment details, or customer profiles. AccessShield uses product, page, theme, audit, and configuration data only to provide accessibility audits, AI-assisted alt-text review, guided remediation, cookie/consent checks, optional badge display, and progress documentation. AccessShield does not send order data, customer data, addresses, payment details, or customer profiles to AI service providers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect from you and your store to provide the service and to operate our apps. This includes:

Providing the core functionality of the app, such as inventory analysis, clearance workflow tracking, tariff-impact calculations, accessibility audits, alt-text review, cookie/consent checks, and other app-specific operational tools.
Processing billing and payments through the Shopify platform.
Communicating with you regarding technical support, app updates, and account-related notices.
Monitoring and analyzing usage trends to improve our application performance.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We only share information in the following circumstances:

Shopify: We share data with Shopify as required to provide the service, process billing, and comply with Shopify's Partner Program requirements.
Payment Processors: All billing is handled directly through Shopify Payments; we do not store your credit card information.
Resend (Email): We use Resend to send transactional emails, such as margin alerts, weekly digests, and accessibility score alerts. Only your alert email address is shared with Resend for delivery purposes.
AI Service Providers: For AccessShield image-aware alt-text suggestions, we may send product image URLs and limited product metadata to an AI provider such as OpenAI solely to generate alt-text suggestions for merchant review.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to respond to valid legal requests by public authorities.

4. Merchant Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Regardless of your location, we believe you should have control over your data. You have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about your store.
Deletion: Request that we delete your data (this typically occurs automatically when you uninstall the app).
Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate information.
Export: Request your data in a machine-readable format.

5. Cookie Policy

Our apps use only strictly necessary session and authentication cookies required to maintain your login state and provide app functionality. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies within our application interface.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
